Apple unveiled the 2022 iPad Air model today, showing off what they described as their most powerful 5G-enabled tablet yet along with its price for the Malaysia market.
This tablet sports the proprietary M1 chip, which brings more power to the tablet for processes or gaming, as well as 5G connectivity for overall improved connectivity as well as the latest iOS 15.
“The breakthrough M1 chip in iPad Air delivers a giant performance boost to even the most demanding apps and workflows, with incredible power efficiency and all-day battery life”, Apple says.
“The 8-core CPU delivers up to 60 percent faster performance, and the 8-core GPU delivers up to 2x faster graphics performance compared to the previous iPad Air. Combined with the CPU and GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine powers advanced machine learning (ML) functions that enable next-level experiences. From editing multiple streams of 4K video, to playing graphics-intensive games, redesigning a room in 3D, and more realistic augmented reality (AR), the performance of M1 enables users to do more than ever with iPad Air ”
The 2022 iPad Air will be available in Malaysia at RM2699 for the wi-fi only models, while the Cellular-enabled models will be available at RM3349.
It will be available for pre-order this Friday, as well as available for purchase starting March 18th alongside the iPhone SE as well as new colors for the iPhone 13.
