Chasing Bengez LLC independent music record label from New York City founder SHA-BENGEZ

SHA-BENGEZ the music sensation from the Bronx, the New York City has now started his own Independent music record label since 2020. He has named his Independent music record label “Chasing Bengez”. A record label, also known as a record company, is a brand or trademark of music recordings and music videos, or the company that owns it.

Within the mainstream music industry, recording artists such as Sha-Bengez have traditionally been reliant upon record labels to broaden their consumer base, market their albums, and promote their singles on streaming services such as Spotify, radio, and television.

Record labels also provide companies, personal assistants, or other such persons, who assist performers in gaining positive media coverage and arrange for their merchandise to be available via stores and other media outlets. Musicians need positive media coverage to reach their targeted audience successfully.

Record labels may be small, localized, and “independent”, or they may be part of a large international media group, or somewhere in between. Sha-Bengez has chosen an Independent music record label for himself.

There are three major labels (Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music) that have a collective 60-70% share in the global market. Record labels and music publishers that are not under the control of these three major labels are generally considered to be independent (indie), even if they are large corporations with complex structures.

Independent labels are often considered more artist-friendly. This is the reason why Sha-Bengez has chosen it.  Independent labels typically offer larger artist royalty with a 50% profit-share. Apart from the passion for music and love of fans, money is also a great source of encouragement for young emerging artists and its importance cannot be ignored.

Independent labels are often artist-owned (although not always). Artists that prefer independent labels may not have access to quality resources such as those artists will have who chose major labels. But independent artists have lesser costs of production.

Sometimes, artists, once their record contract has finished, and they have established their brand, move to an independent label. They mostly take this path for a larger portion of royalty profits. We have seen many successful musicians who have taken this path.

Some independent labels become successful enough that major record companies negotiate contracts to either distribute music for the label or in some cases, purchase the label completely. For any business inquires you can contact CHASINGBENGEZ@CHASINGBENGEZ.NET.
