Austin Richard Post who is known by his stage name as “Post Malone” is an American singer who is gaining huge success in the hip hop industry. The American singer is well known for his unique vocal style rapping and is particularly recognized by his tattoos. He is a rapper, songwriter, record producer who blends various genres through which his songs are recognized. Post Malone falls on the list of one of the most popular singers in the world and this young talented artist has broken the record of King of Pop, Michael Jackson, for the most weeks spent on the top of the Billboard.


Background:
Post Malone was raised by his father and his stepmother. He was born in Syracuse, New York. His father Rich Post was a DJ who exposed this young talented singer to a variety of music genres. This inspired Post Malone a lot towards music. His father helped him with the music a lot and Post also joined some music schools at an early age for learning. Post Malone learned guitar by himself and had given auditions, but got rejected when his guitar string broke during the audition. After that Post was into heavy metal bands and drew himself into hip hop music.

Austin Richard Post appeared with his stage name as “Post Malone” when he was almost 16 with his single debut song “White Iverson”. The song was loved by the audience and got a million views within the days. This was a huge success for Post Malone with his first song as he left a recognition with his tattoos and his drunken accent. The song’s million views caught the eye of “Republic Records” and they signed a deal with him.

Post Malone is an emerging talent in the music industry, especially in the hip-hop genre. Post Malone’s career had just got started a few years ago, but it is at its peak today. He had collaborated with many renowned names of the industry for his albums such as Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Young Thug, 50 Cent, and Ty Dolla sign. The songs like Rockstar and Psycho achieved huge success on the billboard. They remained on the top for most of the weeks. His album “Stoney” remained on the 6th rank on the Billboard. Post Malone was also nominated 4 times for Grammy Awards. Beerbongs & Bentleys broke the internet on its release and became the No.1 album on Billboard.
Upcoming Events:
Post Malone hadn’t found engaging in the music during the pandemic, but now he’s going to make a huge return as he recently revealed in a cover story of a Billboard that he is going to release his new album “Imminent” having the title as Twelve Carat Toothache. The date is not confirmed but reports have shown that the album is being delayed. Post Malone is also going to have a tour this June in San Fransisco. Tickets went on sale this February, whoever gets the ticket will get the physical copy of Malone’s Sophomore album.
