Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was originally scheduled for release on November 15, 2024, has now been postponed to February 14, 2025. As a result, players who pre-ordered the collector’s edition will no longer receive early access to the game. This decision was confirmed by Ubisoft Community Developer during a recent Discord Q&A, where they also announced the cancellation of plans for season passes.
In light of these changes, the price of the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Collector’s Edition has been reduced from $280 to $230. Although the edition will still include popular items like a steelbook, an artbook, and a detailed statue, there may be further modifications to these products before the official launch.
Additionally, there are persistent rumors that Ubisoft Quebec is considering adding a highly anticipated co-op mode to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, allowing two players to team up and experience the game as the dual protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke. However, given the game’s delay, it remains uncertain whether this exciting feature will be ready in time for launch.
The game will be available on a variety of platforms, ensuring that players have multiple options to choose from. Specifically, it will be accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Ubisoft Store.
