Acer Malaysia Announces New Predator Helios, Helios Neo, and Nitro Gaming Desktop

Acer Malaysia has announced the new Predator Helios and Helios Neo laptops, alongside a new Acer Nitro 50 desktop series.

The three new computers are equipped with the latest 14th-gen Intel Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 series laptop GPUs.

Predator Helios Series

Acer has refreshed both the Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 gaming laptops with up to 14th gen Intel Core i9 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 laptop GPU, with both bringing a maximum total power (CPU+GPU) of up to 330W. The laptop comes with the NVIDIA ADA Lovelace to deliver AI-enhanced graphics courtesy of the full ray tracing capability of the DLSS 3.5.

As for the display, the laptops feature an 18-inch and 16-inch WQXGA display respectively, with top specifications of both models featuring mini LED panels operating a 250Hz and supporting 1000units of brightness, while other models have 240Hz refresh rate and supports 500units of brightness.

All refreshed Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 models support 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 come with two additional sets of keys for customization. Aside from the RGB backlit keyboards, the RGB on the Predator logos and Infinity Mirror lighting bar can also be customized via PredatorSense.

As for its cooling, the laptops feature dual 5th gen AeroBlade fans with liquid metal thermal grease, along with vector heat pipes to maintain performance.

Connectivity-wise, Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 are equipped with Wi-Fi 7 technology and offer two USB Type-C, 4 ports, and MicroSD card readers for peripherals.

Predator Helios Neo 16

Predator Helios Neo 16, the more accessible version of the series is equipped with up to 14th gen Intel Core i7 paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070. With maximum total power (CPU + GPU) of up to 300W.

The laptop can be configured with up to 16GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory that is also upgradable to 64GB and up to 1TB PCle Gen 4 SSD.

Its cooling system is similar to the previously mentioned Predator Helios 18 and Helios 16 models, combining 5th GenAeroBlade 3D fan technology, liquid metal thermal grease on their CPUs, and vector heat pipes for efficient heat transfer.

Display for the Predator Helios Neo 16 features a WQXGA (2560 x 1600) 240Hz IPS display. For connectivity, the Helios Neo 16 is equipped with Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro, and a full range of ports including two USB Type-C, an HDMI 2.1 port, and MicroSD card readers.

Acer Nitro 50 Gaming Desktop

Lastly, the new Acer Nitro 50 Gaming Desktop was also announced.

The desktop is refreshed with 14th-gen Intel Core i5- 14400F processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX4060 GPU in its 18-liter chassis. It features an 8GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB M.2 2280 PCIe SSD, with additional expansion slots for future upgrades.

The laptops and desktops are now available at the Acer eStore, Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada, and Acer authorized resellers nationwide. Below is a list of prices for the laptops and desktops:
