Black Myth: Wukong Physical Edition is Coming for the PS5 [UPDATE: Western Publisher Announced]

[UPDATE 22/10/2024] PM Studios is excited to announce its collaboration with Game Science to release the critically acclaimed action RPG, Black Myth: Wukong, in a physical edition for the PlayStation 5. Players will finally be able to hold the game and display its stunning cover art on their shelves.

This physical edition also includes a Black Myth: Wukong Deluxe Edition voucher, which offers a variety of exciting bonuses, including:

• Weapon: Bronzecloud Staff
• Equipment: Folk Opera Mask, Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor, Folk Opera Leather Bracers, and Folk Opera Buskins
• Curio: Wind Chimes
• Miscellaneous: Selected Digital Soundtrack

Additionally, PM Studios has confirmed that the game will be available in Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. Unfortunately, as of this update, it seems that Asian and African countries will not be included in the rollout. The publisher’s online store will also offer the game, although a listing is not yet available. Currently, VGP is the only store with a live product page.

Game Science, the developer behind Black Myth: Wukong, has confirmed that the game will receive a physical edition for the PS5. In a recent post on the game’s official X account, the team thanked fans for their patience and announced that the “master disc for Black Myth: Wukong is ready”, with PS5 physical copies “will be available to you very soon”.

We covered the game’s impressive debut back in August, noting how its stunning visuals and deep connection to Chinese mythology had captured the gaming community’s attention from all over the world. The upcoming physical release is expected to boost sales even further, as the game has already sold over 20 million copies in its first month. Collectors and fans of physical editions are likely to be particularly interested.

While no official release date has been confirmed, Game Science assured fans that the physical edition will be available “very soon.” However, according to Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, known for accurate retail leaks, the PS5 physical edition will launch in North America on October 21 for $64.99, with a European release following shortly at €69.99.
